Innovative Farmers has teamed up with the IKnowFood project looking at how the agri-food system learns and becomes more resilient to change.
The project has different in-field monitoring tools in development, and are looking for innovative farmers to get involved in co-design. You could help test new sensors or identify important gaps in the market that could make your business more resilient.
Working with a group of other farmers, the research team at University of York, and the engineers at University of Manchester, you’ll be at the cutting edge of the latest tech in monitoring areas such as:
- water tables
- pests and diseases
- the wellbeing of livestock
New smart sensors have the potential to help make better management decisions for your farm, but they need to be useful, practical and reliable. Farmers leading the innovation process enables the tech industry to really meet the needs of modern agriculture.
The groups will meet three times a year. To find out how you can get involved, contact Annemarieke de Bruin (firstname.lastname@example.org) or call 01904 322888. You can also get in touch with me and the Innovative Farmers team.
