It’s been another successful year for making on-farm innovation a reality in the UK.
The network reached an important milestone in 2019 and we have now launched over 100 field labs since we began in 2012. This means we have distributed over £300k of funding in small grants to groups of farmers, assisting them to research the issues that matter to them. With millions of people hearing about field labs in the news in 2019, we have also made sure the results are shared widely so they are open for all to benefit.
This journal showcases some of the people and projects behind the research:
Innovative Farmers continues to expand with involvement from a growing number of farmers, researchers, industry bodies and funders. Without your support it would not be possible to nurture such a wide variety of field labs.
We want to thank you for being part of this. And we look forward to working with you all on the next hundred.
And another thank you to everyone featured in the journal, and to all the farmers, researchers and co-ordinators who make up the network.
